All leagues adhere to guidelines set by the National League System. Results are based on an archer’s raw score plus their handicap allowance. Count backs for archers shooting 3 over their handicaps are no longer applicable. In case of tied adjusted scores, separation is determined by 10s, followed by X’s and then 9s, favoring the improving archer over the seasoned one.

To gain a handicap, new archers must complete 5 league rounds and achieve a minimum 3rd class classification. If this status is not attained after 5 rounds, the archer must continue to compete for no points until the minimum status is achieved. The league rules in the clubhouse provide a table of 3rd class classifications according to bow type, age, and division.
