Northern Archers was formed in 1953 and has been active in its present location in the Thornleigh / Pennant Hills area of Sydney since 1962. 

At Northern we practice and teach Target, Field and Clout Archery. The sport of Archery is one of the oldest sports in the world and covers Target Shooting, Field Shooting, Clout and Bow Hunting. Archery is a sport that appeals to people of all types. Old and young, rich and poor, even the physically challenged are choosing archery as a form of recreation.

Today’s equipment is a highly developed technical combination of bow and arrows. This combined with the skills of those wishing to pursue the sport, brings about an astounding degree of accuracy. For those who enjoy the competition of archery there are tournaments at club, state, national and international levels.

Archery can be as intensely competitive, or as passively recreational, as you wish to make it.
