NORTHERN ARCHERS BEGINNERS CLASSES

ADULTS AND JUNIORS

Information

Regular Beginners classes are conducted at Northern Archers, for both adults and juniors. Juniors must be twelve years of age or older. Experience has shown that generally juniors under the age of twelve have not developed sufficient physical strength, coordination and concentration skills to be able to successfully complete the course.

Classes

Combined adult and junior classes are conducted over 4 weekends by qualified AA instructors, the course fee includes the use of all equipment. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the course to proceed.

After successfully completing the course, participants can continue to shoot, without coach supervision, for a further 4 weeks as Advanced Beginners, using club equipment at no extra cost. During this extended period Junior archers (under the age of 15) must be supervised by a person aged 18 years or older.

Qualification

At the conclusion of the four week course participants will be required to shoot a qualifying round of 90 arrows @ 20M for a minimum score of 450 points (out of a possible 900 points). If participants do not qualify within the first 4 weeks, they may use the extra 4 weeks of the Advanced Beginners to qualify but will require coach supervision.

Course Fees

  • $130 - adults
  • $120 - juniors

payable in advance.

All courses are conducted by NCAS qualified coaches.
